Brave Birthday Party Favors

Hey Crafty Friends=

Last weekend we celebrated my daughter's 5th birthday with a Disney Brave party. We had so much fun! There were 11 kids and 20 adults in attendance. It couldn't have been better! I pulled together a few special items for the goody bags but this was the one everyone was talking about. Candy arrows!

I found pixie stick style candy straws that are about a foot long. I cut the triangle points and glued them on sandwiching the straw between them.

For the tail end I freehand cut the shape I liked, then glued them on also sandwiching the straw in between. I then cut several slits in the tail to give it a feathery look. To finish them up I hit the tail with a little distress ink to make the cuts stand out. Here is a closer look.

The kids loved them and the moms wanted to know how I did it. So here you go! If you have a Brave little Princess Merida in your life she will love these if you give them a try.

Please come back again soon for more inspiration. Have a crafty day!

Hey Crafty Friends-

I have some pics of CHA projects for you but Blogger is giving my problems. I've been trying to get this up for you for about a week. I'll get it fixed and you'll get to see some great cards. For now you can see the cards on my Facebook page HERE

New Year, New Happiness

Hey Crafty Friends-

It's been a heck of a few weeks with Christmas and the New Year and now my baby is turning FIVE this week. I was hoping to attend CHA this year but with my daughter's birthday the same week, well sometimes there are just more important things. That doesn't mean I am slacking in my craftiness at all! I am busy busy trying to set up shop with great items for you. Right now I am big time focused on Project Life and Snap style scrapbooking. I hope to get some great items ordered and up on the shop this Spring. I plan to share my pages with you, including videos! So big things are in the works over here at Craft Time and Cupcakes. In 2013 I really hope to make my passion of scrapbooking and crafting my business. I hope you will join me for the ride and share the crafty love. Happy New Year my friends. More inspiration coming soon. And if you have any suggestions for items you would like to see in my shop please let me know. I love to hear from you!

Have a great crafty day-
